Franschhoek Christmas Craft Market

The first Franschhoek Christmas Market was launched in 2005 as a project of the local Dutch Reformed Church. A total of 30 crafters were invited and the market exhibited for 6 days.In 2006 we invited 54 crafters due to the unbelievable growth. In 2007 we added 2 additional days to the market due to public demand.Since 2008 the market became 'n private entity.

We now have about 80 crafters (by invitation only) trading over a period of 10 days as to maximize exposure to both crafters and the market itself.Crafters from as far as from Despatch in the Eastern Cape exhibit their handcrafted products every year.

Franschhoek Christmas Craft Market now offers you a shopping experience without comparison - from a handbag for mom and garden furniture for Barbie to chocolates for dad's sweet tooth and you might just find a treat for Fido as well.Due to the growth and demand the venue was moved from the market to the Town Hall in Franschhoek.

Credit card facilities are available. You can spend the day in beautiful Franschhoek with its unbelievable character.Enjoy light meals / something to drink in the tea garden.Ample parking under shady trees available on the grounds of the Dutch Reformed Church (across the road from the Town Hall).Clean rest rooms available for your comfort.
